HENRICO, Va. (WTVR)—Right now motorists can expect heavy delays on Interstate 95, due to a tractor-trailer crash.

The center and right lanes remain closed on I-95 southbound, at mile marker 84 (I-295 to I-64 Highway West, Norfolk, Charlottesville)

At 6:17 p.m., Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a sports utility vehicle and an overturned tractor-trailer. Sgt. Thomas Molnar said, in an email, that the 54-year-old male driver of the tractor-trailer suffered serious non-life threatening injuries.

The trailer was fully loaded with recyclable glass which partially spilled out onto the right shoulder and grassy median. The clean-up is extensive and then the tractor-trailer will have to be removed.

Glass has spilled out on the media and the right shoulder.

Molnar said the accident occurred when a Toyota SUV, driven by a 57-year old male, hydroplaned. The driver lost control and was struck by the tractor-trailer, which ran off the right side of the roadway and slid to a stop on the passenger side.
