“VCU Police continue to work with the FBI, Richmond Police and the Virginia State Police and are searching several buildings on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus with canine units in response to a bomb threat phoned to the campus earlier today,” the university wrote on its website. “Police and senior administrators do not feel this threat is credible but are operating with an abundance of caution.”
Previously alerts indicated no campus evacuations were ordered and VCU students should report suspicious activity by calling 828-1234.
