LONGMONT, Colo. (KDVR) — A video taken by a Colorado cyclist is going viral on the internet and leading to an investigation by the Colorado State Patrol.

The two-minute long video was taken Sunday morning by two professional cyclists on a small two-lane road in Longmont, Colorado.

“It just wouldn’t let up, it was absolutely insane,” said Dirk Friel about the nonstop honking and close call all caught on tape.

On Tuesday, the Colorado State Patrol confirmed they had been notified about the bizarre incident and were still attempting to reach out to the driver about the videotape.

“The ones that come really close to you and then they’re on their horn…that’s the scariest ones of all,” added Friel.

The driver, seen in the video behind the wheel of a Ford SUV, declined to speak to FOX31 Denver about the situation. Investigators are not commenting on what charges, if any, the driver could face because of the incident.
