Fire causes significant damage to a Richmond residence

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond Fire responded to a call right before 6 a.m. for a fire on the 1900 block of Seddon Avenue.

The fire started from an attached utility shed, went up the side of the house, and through the roof.  Officials say 20 to 25 percent of the two story house was damaged.

Crews managed to put out the fire around 6:25.  One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene.

A couple was home at the time and both evacuated safely.
