HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - An arrest has been made in the West End house party shooting that resulted in a teenage girl shot in the head. Police arrested a Henrico County teenager in connection with the crime.

Marcus Lamont Moore, 19, was charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding and Use of a Firearm In Commission Of Felony, according to Henrico County police records. Moore, who turned himself in to police Monday night, was arraigned the Henrico Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court Tuesday, according to Henrico County Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Nancy Oglesby.

Oglesby said Henrico Police executed a search warrant and the contents of that warrant remain sealed.

Witnesses who attended the September 1 party said trouble started when a group of teenagers showed up at the party and started to steal from the house.

“They were giving high fives and then all of the sudden, iPhones were gone and it was crazy,” said one party goer who wished to remain anonymous.

The shooting started at some point after the group was asked to leave the house party, witnesses said.

A girl who attended the party was shot in the back of the head as she drove away from the home.

Due to the age of the victim, CBS 6 is waiting for police or her family to release her name before we publish the name given to us by friends and witnesses.

According to the victim's Twitter account, she has been released from the hospital where she had been listed in good condition.

Last week, CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett reported two brothers who were arrested and charged in connection with a mob-style attack on the VCU campus also attended the house party.Burkett obtained a search warrant which indicated Henrico Police went to the brothers' home to look for guns, ammunition and other items. The brothers have not been charged in connection to the house party shooting.
