A line of severe storms moved through northern and central Virginia during Saturday afternoon. The strongest activity moved through extreme northern Virginia, where multiple tornado warnings were issued.
Throughout central Virginia, multiple reports of wind damage came in, including some measured wind gusts exceeding 65 m.p.h. Much of the damage consisted of trees down across roads.
Within the CBS 6 viewing area, one tornado warning was issued for northern Shenandoah county from 2:28 p.m. to just before 3 p.m. This storm traveled northeast and affected extreme northern Virginia.
