Richmond woman killed in car accident, another seriously injured

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)– Richmond police are investigating a two car accident that killed one woman and critically injured another.

Police were called to the 400 block of Westover Hills Boulevard near Crutchfield avenue shortly before 10 p.m. last night. They arrived to find Betty J. Hill, 64, of the 600 block of Queen Anne Drive, dead at the scene.

Hill had been passenger in a 1998 Plymouth Breeze sedan that has been traveling North on Westover Hills Boulevard when it was struck by 2000 Chevrolet Bravada making a left turn onto Crutchfield Street.

The woman driving the Plymouth Breeze Hill was riding in was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The condition of the driver Chevy Bravada is unknown.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending. Richmond Police are asking anyone with any information call the Richmond Police Crash Team investigators at 646-1343 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
