HANOVER, Va. (WTVR)–The status of the Hanover teen victim shot in the head at a party has been upgraded to good condition, according to county police.

Police said she is alert, talking and in “good condition.”

She was shot in the head driving away from a house party in the 11000 block of Hilbingdon Road, at a West End Henrico party.

According to police, the bullet went through the back windshield of the victim`s car and struck her in the head.

Investigators said they also found ‘numerous’ shell casings outside the home.

Police have not identified a suspect in the shooting – but believe the shooting was connected to a group of people who were kicked out of the party.

Due to the victim’s age, CBS 6 is waiting for police or her family to release her name before we share the name given to us by friends and witnesses.
