Two house fires in Chesterfield County, no injuries

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Chesterfield Fire received a call at 2:50 p.m. about a mobile home fire in the Harbor East Trailer Park.

It happened at the 900 block of Buccaneer Drive.

Lieutenant Jason Elmore said there was a huge amount of fire damage done to the mobile home.  It took crews 25 minutes to get the fire under control.

One person was home at the time, but was not hurt.  The two people that reside in the mobile home will displaced.  They are currently receiving help from the Red Cross.

Another house fire occurred just after 3 p.m. on the 2600 block of Sailboat Court.

Lt. Elmore said there was a lot of smoke coming from the house. It started in the kitchen and left moderate smoke damage throughout the house.  The fire left significant damage in the kitchen.

Five people live at the residence and are being displaced.  They are also receiving help from the Red Cross. 

There are no reported injuries.
