RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -Sign repairs on 95 at the Bryan Park cleared early. Crews expected lanes to be closed through Friday morning. However, workers finished up overnight work and all lanes are now open.
Here’s the backstory:
Thursday morning crews along I-95 north were trying to repair signs damaged overnight.
As a result, workers closed the left lane at Boulevard from mile marker 78, to mile marker 79. Officials said Thursday afternoon that the lane will remain closed through 6 a.m. Friday.
Authorities said a support post for an overhead sign that was damaged Wednesday night was the reason for the closure.
The post was damaged when it was struck by a truck during some scheduled bridge restoration.
Use an alternate route if possible. 295 or the Downtown Expressway are good detours.
