RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - The final "Stuff The Bus" event leading to the upcoming school year was held on Saturday.

Volunteers were looking for notebooks, book bags, pencils, and other supplies to give to kids in the Richmond area.

First Capital Bank sponsored the event, and the donations were sent to St. Joseph's Villa.

Volunteers say they are proud of the work they've done.

"This year, we've benefited 1,500 kids locally across the region," says volunteer Gary Armstrong.  "And at First Capital Bank, we're dedicated to providing a better life for young children in the Central Virginia area."

"Stuff The Bus" was first held in 2008.
