22nd Annual Down Home Family Reunion

Music, food, cultural heritage, crafts, and children’s activities come together for the 22nd annual Down Home Family Reunion in Abner, a celebration of African-American Folklife.

This year’s festival is once again in Abner Clay Park, Historic Jackson Ward, it features the Legendary Funk Band, Parliament-Funkadelic, Original P, The Gravity Defying Kenya Acrobats, Elegba Folklore Society’s African Drummers, Dancers and singers, R&B performers and returning Master of Ceremonies J. Ron Fleming. There’s also a market place and children’s stage area.

The festival is free and open to the public, food will be available for purchase and free parking in and around Abner Clay Park, Belvidere & West Leigh Streets. For more details call 804-644-3900 www.efsince.org.
