Richmond Jazz Festival kicks off Friday

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) – The Richmond Jazz Festival is back for the 3rd straight year and the music kicks off on Friday, August 10, with Lonnie Liston Smith and Meastro J at the Hippodrome Theatre, doors open at 6pm. Maymont is the setting for the August 11 & 12 concerts featuring Robert Cray, India Arie, Keiko Matsui, Dave Koz, BeBe Winans & Brian Simpson, Najee, George Benson, Pancho Sanchez, The Whispers, and many international, regional and local artists.

Parking for the Jazz Festival includes the West Cary Street parking deck ($4), City Stadium Sunday only and Dogwood Dell, free. Parking where available around Maymont and shuttle service provided every 15 minutes from 10:30am to 11pm to and from Maymont.

Tickets are $55 per day, $20 Friday. Chairs with overhead covers, pets, alcohol or glass containers are not allowed.
