(WTVR) – A D.C. Police Captain has filed a 12 million dollar lawsuit against the Department after he was reprimanded for giving actor Charlie Sheen a high speed police escort.
The Associated Press reports Hilton Burton lawsuit claims he was demoted and transferred for saying police escorts were common practice for celebrities.
The police chief said the April 2011 incident broke department protocol and the demotion was not connected to the incident.
