Virginia Beach (WTVR) – If you thought you had gotten away with a ticket at a red light your time is up.
Red light cameras at thirteen Virginia Beach intersections have been capturing people breaking the law at traffic lights.
Hundreds of people have been ignoring the tickets because they don’t go on your record.
So, the police department turned to the Deputy City Treasurer for help in getting people to pay up.
The department issued a treasurer’s lien either to an employer, or to a bank.
So far its collected nearly 28-thousand dollars from more than 550 people.
