WAVERLY, Va. (WTVR) – A Virginia State University student will serve a little more than four months behind bars for leading police on a wild pursuit through Waverly.
Audreanna Transou plead guilty Tuesday in connection with the chase, including reckless driving.
Police dash-cam video of the February pursuit shows Transou weaving in and out of traffic at high rates of speed she was stopped and arrested at a railroad crossing. [WATCH: Train track gates help police stop high-speed chase]
In addition to jail time, Transou will also lose her license for six months.
