RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Between talks about the new Batman thriller Friday morning, there were talks about the deadly shooting that happened hours earlier in Colorado.
"I don't know what to think about that," said Richmond moviegoer Mick Anders.
While waiting for Richmond's Movieland theater to open, Anders was catching up on the headlines surrounding the Colorado shooting that left at least 12 people dead and dozens more injured. It was a real-life horror that's still hard to believe.
"I would probably just duck in instinct, or hide behind something," said Anders. "I've ever been in anything remotely resembling that."
Other moviegoers, including Eddie Brown are hoping the attack remains an isolated case.
"I think it was someone looking for a crowded place and knew this would be crowded and full of lots of people and lots of targets, which is sad," said Brown.
One by one Richmond's movie fans made their way into the theater, hoping the only drama to play out would be on the big screen.
"I don't think anything like that will happen here," said Brown. "I have to believe most people aren't like that and won't think that way."
