Richmond, Va (WTVR) – Some contract workers, hired by the City of Richmond, aren’t getting their paychecks on time because of a computer glitch.

A CBS 6 viewer, who works for Boaz and Ruth, contacted us by email. Richmond’s Division of Solid Waste contracts out work to that organization. The viewer claims he and a number of his co-workers were supposed to receive paychecks on Monday, but never got them.

We questioned Boaz and Ruth about the problem. The project manager admits there was a delay because the City of Richmond had problems with their electronic banking system, which slowed the process down.

Boaz and Ruth says it could have issued the checks on time, but they might have bounced. Management says all workers will receive their paychecks by the end of the day.
