MANTEO, North Carolina (WTKR) - Sea turtles are on the move and nesting at Cape Hatteras National Seashore in North Carolina.

The National Park Service has documented a record 155 nests, as of Thursday. The previous record for nests at the park was 154.

July is typically the peak month for turtles to come ashore and nest, so the National Park Service expects to see even more turtles.

Experts said it takes about 55 to 60 days for the eggs to hatch.
