Friday evening storm reports

Here is an initial plot of some preliminary storm reports.  Tree symbols indicate wind damage, and the numbers indicate calculated or estimated wind speeds.

Here are links to the National Weather Service (NWS) storm report pages, which include specific information by county.  Keep in mind, only reports called into the NWS make this list.

You can see that our area was not alone.  The storm complex that came through our area originated Friday morning near Chicago, and traveled over 800 miles to the east coast by around midnight.  Over 500 wind damage reports came from about a dozen states.
