HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - The victim of a weekend shooting in Hanover County had filed several protective orders against her estranged husband, including one hours before Saturday's deadly shooting, court documents obtained by CBS 6 reporter Angela Pellerano indicate.

Pellerano reported Sabrina Markham took out her first protective order against Ryan Markham on March 18, 2012. One day later he took a protective order out on her, documents indicate.

Sabrina Markham took out two more short-term protective orders, April 3 and  26, 2012.

On May 31, 2012 a judge extended the protective order to last until May 31, 2014.

The next day, Hanover investigators said 33-year-old Ryan Markham forced his way into Sabrina's Candleberry Drive home and opened fire with an assault rifle.

Sabrina Markham died on the spot.

Her boyfriend was shot multiple times, but managed to grab a handgun and fire back-hitting Ryan, investigators said. [Read more: Boyfriend of murder victim shot back at her attacker]
