Canadian porn actor turned killer is now in police custody.

The sordid story could be a Hollywood screenplay for a horror movie.

There are new developments today in the international manhunt for an adult entertainer suspected in a brutal crime.

He led investigators across two continents, but now he's in custody.

Luka Rocco Magnotta -- a porn actor allegedly turned killer and international fugitive -- is now in police custody.

Magnotta -- dubbed "the Canadian psycho" -- was arrested Monday in Berlin, Germany on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder and other offenses.

"At least the good news, the good info is that we have a suspect with us. This is thanks to the help of the public. Thanks to different partners in Interpol also,” said a spokesperson with the Montreal Police Dept.

This story started late in May in a Montreal apartment, where investigators say Magnotta killed and dismembered 33-year old university student Jun Lin.

Authorities say Magnotta sent parts of the man's mutilated body in the mail to politicians, and posted graphic video of the fatal stabbing and dismemberment on the internet.

Aware of Magnotta's ties abroad, Interpol issued an alert to 190 countries.

There were several reported sightings in recent days, including in France.

This is not the first time the actor caught the attention of European authorities.

In 2010, video was posted on his web site that showed a kitten being tortured and killed.

He allegedly sent an email about it to a British newspaper, threatening to kill more than animals next time.

"We're talking about a very, very, strange, unhinged individual....And obviously we did give those details to the police in this country to investigate,” said Montreal police.

Canadian authorities plan to bring Magnotta back to Montreal to face the charges against him.
