PETERBSURG, Va. (WTVR) – GRTC has reached a temporary deal with the City of Petersburg to keep some of its routes to and from Richmond up and running.

Starting July 1, GRTC says it wants to operated six express bus trips between Petersburg and Downtown Richmond and raise the fare from $3 each way to $5.

The transit system’s original plan called for cutting service from eleven trips a day to only four on Express Route 95.

GRTC will present the idea at a public meeting Wednesday morning in Richmond.
