WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – There is new information about the infamous Colonial Parkway murders, one of Virginia's most notorious unsolved cases.
The Daily Press reports a judge postponed the sentencing of the man convicted of scamming relatives of the victims, because that man is seriously ill with heart problems.
Fred Atwell Jr. was in charge of a raffle to raise money that would help fund a new investigation into the mysterious murders, which took place from 1986 to 1989.
But the 62-year-old ended up taking a check the families gave him and cashed it for personal use.
