(WTVR) - If you check your e-mail on a regular basis, it may affecting your health.

A new study by the University of Glasgow found that people who check their email more than once a day have a higher heart rate. That can lead to anxiety, increased stress levels and depression.

Researchers suggest taking a break from e-mail every now and then if you can.

Those who logged off email for at least five consecutive days lowered their stress levels by as much as 50 percent.
