HENRICO COUNTY, Va (WTVR) - Henrico police are investigating the death of an infant at a home in eastern Henrico County. The home, along the 1600 block of Fawcett Lane, is an in-home daycare reported Jon Burkett.
Police were called to the house around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday to respond to a medical emergency, said Henrico Police Lt. Robert Palkovics. When officers arrived, the child was unresponsive. The child was later pronounced dead at VCU Medical Center.
Burkett spoke to a relative of the child who said the baby was a seven-month-old boy.
Police told Burkett so far nothing in their investigation indicated the child's death was suspicious.
Burkett reported the child did not live in the home on Fawcett Lane, rather he went to daycare there.
