HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - A vigil will be held Monday for a Richmond man shot to death earlier this week.

Police said someone shot and killed 21-year-old Orlando Isaiah Baylor of Richmond.

Investigators said a neighbor called 911 after seeing the man's body faced down on the ground. Hours later, the victim's mother rushed to the apartments from Petersburg to be with her son. [UPDATE: Victim found at Henrico apartments]

Jeannette Greene, who has lived at the apartment complex for nearly a decade, told CBS 6 News' Sandra Jones that the commotion woke her up Tuesday morning.

"I was scared [and] I heard the gunshots,” said Greene, who pointed out the bullet holes. “I don't know happened."

Other residents are also left wondering what sparked the shooting.

"When I got here, I didn't think any more about it until I saw the forensic team. Then, I'm thinking, 'oh Lord, something must have happened,'” said one unidentified woman.

And residents said they are fed up with the violence and are being extra cautious.

"I keep my guard up and I'm constantly looking around because you don't know when something may happen," said one woman. “It’s just not safe.”

Neighbors pointed out some security cameras posted outside of the complex, but neither police or management could say if they were working at the time of the shooting.

Police said they have very few leads and no description of the gunman, but are hopeful an eyewitnesses could help.

If you have information that could help police, call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.

The vigil will be held in the 100 block of Engleside Dr. Baylor will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
