Richmond police find decomposed body

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)- Richmond Police are trying to identify a decomposing body they found Friday night.

RPD Captain Paul Kiniry tells CBS 6 that the call came in shortly before 8 p.m. for a complaint of a foul odor in the 600 block of Overbrook Rd. Officers arrived and found a body in a nearby garage.

Kiniry says the race and gender of the body is undetermined at this time.

Detectives are working the case, and the Medical Examiner's Office has picked up the body for further examination and identification.
