RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - A Virginia judged suggested a school post just six of the 10 Commandments in order to avoid a lawsuit. Judge Michael Urbanski asked lawyers in a case involving the Giles County school system to consider a compromise that would have only six of the 10 Commandments posted inside county schools.
The six commandments he suggested do not mention God.
The 10 Commandments in question are currently part of a display inside Narrows High School. The display includes the U.S. Constitution and other historic documents.
An unnamed student and their parents are suing to have the Commandments removed, arguing it violates the separation of church and state.
