RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) A Richmond-based non-profit partners with the Richmond Flying Squirrels to raise funds and break Guinness World Record for Most Simultaneous High-Fives.

Have any plans on May 10? Do you enjoy baseball and community? Oh, how about breaking Guiness World Records?

The Positive Vibe Café is hosting a special event at the Diamond as a fundraiser for their program, which provides food service training for people with disabilities.

This event is known as Hi5RVA and hopes to get at least 6,000 people to the ballpark.

The Flying Squirrels will play against the Bowie Baysox on Thursday, May 10. At 6:35 p.m., supporters will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Most Simultaneous High-Fives.

According to the press release, this a record currently held by 3,504 employees of Zappos.com, during a meeting on March 5th in Las Vegas.

The group hopes to score big with their fundraiser this month, and raise $50,000 for their program which is offered free to participants.

Positive Vibe Café will benefit directly from special “Hi5RVA Fundraising Tickets” being sold at the Café, located at 2825 Hathaway Rd in Richmond.

There will also be ways to contribute to the program during and after the game, including sales of limited edition “World Record Holder” t-shirts.
