VIENNA, Va. (WTVR) - A Northern Virginia man finally received a postcard from his then-vacationing mother - only it was 55 years delayed.

WJLA interviewed Scott McMurry about his unusual mail that dates back to 1957. He says she was vacationing in Chicago - and even wrote that he would probably see her before he got the postcard. She was right.

The Postal Service says it does not know how the postcard got delayed for so long.
