HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The sponsors of the Capital City 400 Presented by Virginia is for Lovers may want to change it to the Kyle Busch 400.
Busch took advantage of a late caution with 13 laps to go to win at Richmond International Raceway for the fourth straight spring…breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Richard Petty.
The victory snapped a 22-race winless drought…one night after going to Victory Lane for the first time as a Nationwide Series Owner. His brother Kurt won Friday night.
Tony Stewart led 118 laps until the caution came out near the end of the race because of a water bottle on the track. Stewart finished third.
Carl Edwards had the dominant car for the majority of the night until he was blackflagged with 83 laps remaining after jumpstarting the restart. That forced him to do a stop and go in the pits. He would finished tenth.
