Richmond Mom Prom Charity Event

RICHMOND, Va, (WTVR) - What is Mom Prom? It's a ladies night out for charity where you can wear your old prom dresses, old wedding gowns or old bridesmaids dress and it's all to benefit Children's Hospital Foundation. Amanda Moore and Alison Opel started the fundraiser last year and based it on a National Mom Prom event and this year's event happens Saturday, April 28 at the Hardshell at Bellgrade from 7-11pm.

The evening calls for women to come dressed either in a prom dress, wedding gown or bridesmaid dress, dance the evening away, have fun with friends and raise money to support a worthy cause. There will be fun games and a tackiest dress contest.

You don't have to be a mom or wear a tacky or ugly dress to support Mom Prom, but you have to leave the guys at home, its ladies night. Tickets are $15 at the door, make sure to bring your camera to catch-all the fun. For more details on Mom Prom, visit their FaceBook Page "Mom Prom."

It's also Restaurant Week and the Hardshell at Bellgrade will take reservations before Mom Prom, call for details, 804-464-1476.
