RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)- Heavy equipment, flashing road signs, cones, and limited lanes- highway work zones can be tricky to navigate and dangerous, at times.
VDOT says in 2011, nearly 3,500 work zone crashes occurred in the Commonwealth alone. That's why state and national transportation agencies are spreading a message this week, and they hope drivers will get on board with it.
