Sanford, Florida Police Chief Bill Lee is quitting. However, officials have rejected his resignation Monday evening.
Lee has been under pressure to quit since his department allowed George Zimmerman to walk free after shooting and killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
That news broke just hours after Zimmerman was released from jail Sunday night after posting bail.
