CULVER CITY, CA. (CNN) – Police in southern California say they’ve arrested a security guard and recovered five precious guitars stolen from Tom Petty and his band.
Police say 51-year old Emmette Washington stole the guitars from a sound stage in Culver City, where Tom Petty and his band had been rehearsing for their upcoming worldwide tour.
Investigators say their big break in the case came when one of the instruments was pawned at a shop in Hollywood.
