RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (CNN) - A massive sandstorm hit the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh Friday, enveloping parts of the city in a cloud of gritty dust. It turned day into night in a matter of minutes.
CNN I-Reporter Mujahid Latif shot this video of the huge cloud of sand blowing in.
He tells CNN he's never seen a storm of this size.
Latif says the powerful storm created a total black-out when it hit and shook the car he was in like a piece of paper.
Severe weather, including heavy rain and hail in some parts of the city, followed the sandstorm.
