NEW YORK – Maybe it’s because New York is a Giants town. Or maybe it’s something else.
Former Broncos quarterback and current New York Jets backup Tim Tebow was greeted with a chorus of boos when he appeared on the giant video screen at Yankees Stadium Sunday night.
Tebow, who was wearing a Yankees hat, was seated in the third row behind the Los Angeles Angels’ dugout and was talking to Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade when he was shown on the screen.
Some fans cheered. But most booed.
“Welcome to New York, Tim,” said Yankees right fielder Nick Swisher after the game when asked about the booing incident.
