Richmond, VA. (WTVR) - VCU Head Baseball Coach Paul Keyes will be taking a leave of absence from the team because of health reasons.
As of now, there is no official word from the school as to what the issue is but CBS-6 Sports has learned that VCU will provide further details next week.
Keyes is in his 18'th season as Rams' Head Coach...winning 587 games...five CAA conference titles in the past 10 years and made the NCAA's eight times.
Associate Head Coach Shawn Stiffler will be the acting coach in Keyes' absence.
The Rams begin a three-game series at Delaware Friday.
