FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – Divers from Stafford County and Fredericksburg Fire Departments searched the Rappahannock River Monday morning and found what police presume to be the gun used in a weekend murder.

Police arrested a man accused of shooting and killing another man following a dispute during a weekend party, according to Fredericksburg Police Public Information Officer Natatia Bledsoe.

Tyrone Tomek Johnson, 35, is charged with first degree homicide and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Johnson is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

Police identified the victim as Nathaniel Dywayne Henderson.

Bledsoe said officers were called to Henderson’s townhouse along the 300 block Brock Square early Saturday morning after a friend of Henderson’s discovered his body and called 911.

Police arrested Johnson later Saturday afternoon.

Bledsoe said Johnson and Henderson were acquaintances.

She said the two got into a dispute prior to the shooting. Details about the nature of the dispute have not yet been released.
