RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond Police are investigating a deadly shooting at the Chicago Manor Apartments on East 18th Street. Richmond Police spokeswoman Karla Peters said the shooting took place near the rear of the apartments.
Police on scene told CBS 6 reporter Lorenzo Hall the victim is an adult male.
The Chicago Manor Apartments are in South Richmond off Jeff Davis Highway near Maury Street.
Investigators tell CBS 6 News, the shooting occurred shortly after noon and someone who heard gunshots called police. When police arrived on scene minutes later, that’s when they discovered the victim in the alley, behind Chicago Manor Apartments, according to investigators.
Police say they are looking for two black males seen in the area moments after the shooting. One suspect was wearing a white baseball cap, a blue polo shirt and blue jeans. The other had an inch-long beard, was wearing a winter vest and shorts.
