Consumer Alerts: Ford Focus recall

Posted

(CNN) According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ford says in certain 2012 models, a seal in the connector to the motor of the passenger-side windshield wiper may be missing.

The website says water or other contaminants could accumulate in the connector, causing the wiper to stop working, resulting in reduced visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is expected to notify owners and dealers of the problem around May 21st.
