TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT)- One of three winners in last week's record Mega Millions jackpot has come forward to claim their piece of the prize. But- you won't know who it is, because they've chosen to remain anonymous.

Kansas lottery officials unveiled the big check Friday. They say the person came forward Friday morning with the ticket, matching all six numbers in the 656-million-dollar drawing.

"The winner of the Kansas part will get 218 million dollars, 157 million is the cash option before taxes," said Dennis Wilson, Executive Director of the Kansas Lottery. "Kansas law allows the person to remain anonymous. That person has chosen that option."

All officials would say is that the winner is a Kansas resident with legal and financial counsel.

The convenience store in Ottawa, Kansas that sold the winning ticket received ten thousand dollars. The other two winning tickets were purchased in Maryland and Illinois.
