If you get your electricity from Dominion Virginia Power, your bill is going up.

The utility says they’ve added an annual rate adjustment to pay for power-plant financing costs.

The hike will kick in April, 1st. Dominion says the typical bill will go up by about 43 cents.

Most of the cost is attributed to the Warren County Power Station. The 1,300-megawatt natural gas-fired plant was approved this year by the State Corporation Commission. It’s projected to start operating by late 2014.
