Richmond, VA. (WTVR) – VCU has been an important member of the CAA since joining the league in 1995 after stops in the Sun Belt and Metro but could that relationship come to an end.
CBSSports.com reports that VCU along with George Mason and Butler have had discussions with the Atlantic 10 about potential interest in joining the league for the 2013-2014 school year.
One of the reasons for the possible switch is because the three schools are currently in one-bid leagues…the CAA and Horizon…while the Atlantic-10 has received multiple NCAA bids for five straight years.
