HENRICO, Va. (WTVR)- Henrico fire fighters are investigating a fire in the 300 block of Perth Ln. in the county’s east end Sunday afternoon.
Captain James Mellon tells CBS 6 they responded to multiple reports of smoke coming from a house in the 300 block of Perth Ln. Sunday at around 1:45 p.m. Units arrived to find heavy fire coming from the second floor roof of the home.
Melon says crew were quickly able to contain the blaze and it was marked under control at around 2:20 p.m. No one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries. The family is receiving aid from the Red Cross.
The Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
