Countless homeless dogs and cats will soon have a warm place to sleep thanks to the support of the SPCA’s 10th annual Dog Jog and 5K Run.
The event was held Saturday morning at the Richmond SPCA. The turnout was fantastic, despite the rain. More than 500 people and their beloved pets walked the route.
The SPCA says they were able to raise more than $139,000 to care for homeless animals in Richmond. That’s $8,000 more than their goal.
CBS 6 anchor and reporter Greg McQuade emceed the event.
