DANVILLE, Va. (WTVR)- Officials with the Danville Fire Department tell us they have crews on the scene Saturday morning battling a large fire at an apartment complex.
The three story building is located at 855 Grove Street. The call for service came in around 4:15 a.m. Saturday, and three engines and a ladder truck were initially dispatched. Shortly after arriving on the scene, fire fighters called for a second alarm, dispatching two more engines and an aerial device.
Five occupants were transported to Danville Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. No word yet on what sparked the fire.
