Over 12 hours of daylight today

Today represents the first time since September 27 that we have more than 12 hours of daylight.  (Friday contained exactly 12 hours of daylight.)

The first day of winter, December 22, featured 9 hours and 34 minutes of daylight.  Today, there is 12 hours and 2 minutes of daylight.  This represents a gain of 2 hours and 28 minutes.

Spring begins Tuesday morning, March 20, at 1:14 am.  We will continue to gain a few minutes of daylight until the we pass the first day of summer in June.
