Robbers jump man outside his home as he prepares for work

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Hanover County man was beaten-up and robbed outside his home Monday morning, according to a press release from the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Hanover County Sergeant Chris Whitley said deputies were called to investigate the robbery around 4:10 a.m. Monday in the 16100 block of Washington Highway in Doswell.

Whitley said the victim was outside of his home getting ready for work when a group of men approached and demanded money. After a brief struggle, the men ran away with an undisclosed amount of money, Whitley said.

The victim suffered injuries to his head and is expected to make a full recovery, Whitley said.
